Lupin
For centuries we have known Lupine as a plant used for both human and animal nutrition. Lupine belongs to the legume family (like soybeans), which are mainly cultivated in Australia, South America and Europe. The fascinating aspect of this ancient species also lies in the fact that it was rediscovered in Europe. Before the 19th century, Lupine was widely used in the Mediterranean. Today, Lupine is once again used in Portugal, Spain and France. Typical flavour, when raw, slightly bean and sweet hazelnut. Our wholemeal products come exclusively from first grade sweet white lupine (Lupinus Albus), completely debitterised. All these properties are rigorously controlled before transformation with specific analyzes aimed at guaranteeing their machinability. High protein content, naturally rich in fats, tocopherol and tenoids and not subject to genetic manipulation (GMO free).
