01 Description

The plant from which Coriander is obtained belongs to the Umbelliferae family and is native to Mediterranean countries. Both the leaves of coriander are used, spicier and especially appreciated in the East (for this reason it is also known as Chinese parsley), and the fruits, grains similar to pepper, yellow and with a sweetish flavor reminiscent of lemons. Coriander is carminative, antispasmodic and stomachic, making it a good natural remedy against abdominal colic, digestive difficulties and bloating. With coriander you can prepare an effective digestive infusion with an aromatic flavour: just put 2 grams of coriander seeds in 100ml of boiling water for a few minutes. A couple of spoons after meals will be sufficient to promote digestion and the elimination of intestinal gas. Its stimulating effect reduces the sense of fatigue, fights loss of appetite and makes it a good tonic for brain activity and the nervous system. Coriander also has a fungicidal and antibacterial effect.
